In collaboration with Majlis Shabab and Court of Cards, the Quoridors toournament delivered a thrilling two-day competition filled with intense strategy and unforgettable moments.

Showdown has been a trusted platform for esports tournaments across Qatar, and now we’re extending that expertise to competitive tabletop gaming. The Quoridors tournament showcased the versatility of our platform, proving that our technology can seamlessly host competitions beyond video games, engaging tournaments for card and board game communities.
A Tournament Built for Strategic Brilliance
Having taken place at Geekdom in Lusail Boulevard on September 13th and 14th, the Quoridors tournament featured 32 skilled players competing in a single-elimination format. Each match was played in a best-of-three series, ensuring that only the most strategic minds advance to the next round.
Day 1 narrowed the field down to the final 8 competitors, while Day 2 showcased the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the grand championship match on the main stage. With the entire tournament hosted on Showdown.me and powered by its technology, players benefited from our streamlined registration process, real-time updates, user-friendly interface, and easy access to the tournament schedule and rules. The collaboration with Majlis Shabab and Court of Cards—leaders in the tabletop gaming community— brought this event to life, and Showdown’s robust tech infrastructure made it possible to execute the competition from start to finish.
