Geekend September 2024 - Quoridors

Get ready for a groundbreaking event on Showdown.me! We're thrilled to announce our latest tournament, featuring the strategic and engaging game of "Quoridors." This event marks an exciting expansion of our platform, where the world of tabletop gaming takes center stage. In collaboration with Majlis Shabab and Court of Cards, and as part of the Geekend celebration, this two-day competition promises intense gameplay, strategic brilliance, and a weekend full of excitement!

Tournament Details:

• Event Name: Quoridors Showdown
• Dates: September 13th & 14th
• Location: Geekdom Building, Lusail Boulevard
• Collaborators: Majlis Shabab, Court of Cards
• Participants: 32 players

Tournament Structure:

1. Single Elimination:
   • Players will compete in single elimination matches, cutting the field in half each round.
2. Best of 3 Format:
   • To ensure fairness and heightened competition, each match will be played in a best-of-three format.

Schedule:

• Day 1 (Friday):
  • Location: Event Floor
  • Matches: Initial rounds to determine the final 8 competitors.
• Day 2 (Saturday):
  • Location: Main Stage
  • Matches: Quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the championship match to crown the Quoridors Showdown champion.
